Premium Food Group plans takeover of several Vion locations

Subject to regulatory approval, the customary conditions, and final agreements, the Premium Food Group has reached an agreement in principle to acquire the beef processing sites in Buchloe, Crailsheim, Hilden, and Waldkraiburg from VION Food Group. The transaction also includes the hide processing facilities located in Memmingen and Eching-Weichenau.

This acquisition would allow the Rheda-Wiedenbrück-based family business to expand its beef processing operations in Southern Germany.

Preserving the structure of Germany’s agricultural industry, where family-run farms have operated for generations, is particularly important. By securing the processing infrastructure for cattle in Southern Germany, this move aims to ensure a sustainable future for farmers in the region.
