From a small family-run butcher shop to an international meat producer: our Pork division is Germany’s market leader in pork, with a market share of over 30 percent. With four sites located in Germany’s livestock-rich regions, the company has a strong regional presence.

Whether it’s burger patties, fillet steak, rump steak, or entrecôte, beef is a staple of German cuisine. Our Beef division is one of the leading beef producers in the country. Based in Badbergen, Lower Saxony, the company boasts a state-of-the-art production facility, regarded as one of the most advanced in Europe.

Headquartered in Böklund, our Sausage division is a European leader in the meat and sausage industry. In Germany, the group is number one in the pre-packaged sausages and canned sausages market. With over 4,000 employees, the division produces more than 2 billion consumer packages annually.

Approximately ten percent of consumers in Germany follow a vegetarian or vegan diet. We respond to consumer preferences by producing fish, meat, and sausage alternatives while continuously developing innovative products. Certain businesses within the group, incidentally, began supplying health food stores with their first veggie products as early as the 1990s.

Quick and easy meals are becoming increasingly important. Whether it’s pre-packed fresh meat, frozen schnitzels and burgers, our popular toasties, rösti pizza, cheesecake balls, or ready-made meals – we offer the perfect solution for a quick bite with high-quality, easy-to-prepare products. There’s something to suit every taste.

Germany remains the home market of the Premium Food Group. However, over the past few decades, we have expanded to include several locations across Europe and worldwide. In addition, our business units export products and raw materials to countries with specialised demand. To identify these opportunities, we conduct market and trend analyses, focusing on current megatrends, evolving consumer needs, and competitor activities in the target countries.

There are few things people in Germany are as willing to spend money on as their pets. This extends to their pets’ food. Thanks to the group’s extensive raw material resources, we’ve seen consistent growth in the pet food sector and successfully market our own brands through retail channels.

Tailored logistics are crucial in food production. With more than 1,300 trailers, refrigerated vehicles, and containers, we handle the majority of our deliveries in-house. This allows us to guarantee short delivery times and sustainable transport – supported by innovative propulsion and cooling technologies. By operating our own cold storage facilities, we optimise synergies across the entire value chain.

As a broad-based company in the food industry with numerous business areas along the value chain, the Premium Food Group also operates several of its own cold stores. The cold stores and refrigeration units round off our portfolio within the food production segment. The locations are not only used for our own (temporary) storage, but we also offer the service to well-known third-party customers, who are happy to take advantage of the offer and use it accordingly. We rely on state-of-the-art technology and automation processes.

Sustainability makes whole-animal utilisation a key area of focus. In fact, there is a vast array of products globally that incorporate animal components. By-products are used to produce items like fuel for ships and planes, oils, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and medication capsules. Companies also rely on animal proteins in fish farming.

We are always on the lookout for potential investments and partnerships. With our strong distribution capabilities and decades of experience as a food producer across various stages of the value chain, we are the ideal partner to bring products and ideas to market successfully and sustainably.
