Sport brings people together
We are a company with a strong affinity for sport, particularly football. For over 25 years, we have supported numerous clubs as a partner through our engagement – both in the Bundesliga and grassroots leagues. Sport connects people. It fosters solidarity. People of all nationalities, ages, and social backgrounds come together in sport to share their passion. This often includes hearty and delicious food, which makes for the perfect symbiosis: as a food producer passionate about sport, we are proud to contribute to this social cohesion.
Research in livestock farming
Livestock farming is a subject of considerable public interest. Operating at the intersection of economic pressures, consumer expectations, and societal demands, businesses have a responsibility to bring objectivity to the discussion and advance both scientific and practical topics. Tönnies Research focuses on scientific evaluation aimed at improving animal welfare and ensuring the sustainability of livestock farming for the future. The company initiates and supports research projects and studies with an annual budget of €300,000.
Aktion Kinderträume e.V.
The Aktion Kinderträume e.V. organisation is a charity committed to supporting children and young people with life-limiting illnesses, as well as their families, by fulfilling special wishes or dreams. The charity works closely with the National Association of Children’s Hospices under the patronage of Margit Tönnies. Aktion Kinderträume is passionate about extending a helping hand to affected children and their families, providing support, and making everyday life a little easier.
